Networking people, post your network diagrams here!

I used Visio 2000, available on WinWorld, but you can use whatever you like.

Here's mine, which I plan to tweak a bit in the near future:

I am not the best at making these diagrams, learning as I go lol

I was bored this afternoon so I figured I'd diagram this stuff. Unfortunately, I have no idea how to diagram this stuff.

That said, here's an accurate, but terrible depiction of my network done in MS Paint. Enjoy and feel free to laugh, but I have professionally installed structured cabling :D

Heh, pretty cool diagram. I also really had no idea how to diagram stuff, so I just kinda winged it using whatever was available in Visio.

I see you have a DSLAM, that's something I still need to get into...

Yeah, problem is, nobody in the world seems to know how to set this stupid thing up. I got it on the cheap so it's not like it matters all that much, it was only like 40 bucks shipped or something.

The one and only manual I can find online is for a different firmware version, a firmware version which isn't archived anywhere. And there's no documented firmware flash process I could find anywhere either.

Oh, and the commands in that manual are about 80% meaningless because they have the completely wrong syntax for my unit.

I've spoken to a gentleman on Reddit previously who used these in a carrier grade setup, but his used yet another firmware I can't find that had Cisco-like syntax!

Long story short, I was able to stumble through help menus far enough that I got a modem to reliably handshake ADSL2+ with it, but it never gets an IP and doesn't respect static IPs, so it won't pass any network traffic through at all.

It's a Pannaway BAS32 if anyone has any tips.

What firmware version does it have currently?

I don't remember at this point, it's been a few months since I bothered to power it on. It's 2.7.something, iirc.

I used Visio 2007 for this. It's more of an idealized diagram with placeholders for nodes I don't actually have yet, but it gets the general structure and convention of my network across well.
