First off, welcome to ClassicConnect! Hope you enjoy your stay here with us.
I actually have never owned a PSP, and the only times I ever played one was when a couple of my friends got them when they first came out. They were cool and I kind of wanted one back in the day, but they were expensive and there were other things I was more interested in getting than one of those.

I have a modded PSP sitting in my bin of handheld consoles. I don't play it much anymore, but I may dust it off again someday.

I still have my PSP 1000 - without any mods. I use it for playing games (you can just copy EBOOT files), watching movies and use it as a MP3 player also. Thanks to Protoweb you can browse the net too.
I still have to get that PSP-300 camera for the full experience

I have a PSP-1000, with CFW installed of course 
I use it for gaming and listening to music, I also have some anime on it, in case I ever want to watch anime on my PSP as well.

Yes! Once I can get a media server set up, I will also be able to stream anime I have saved to my PS3 in my bedroom

using my modded psp 1000 to write this! in my personal opinion, using a ps3 to stream media is such a blast. crazy how well 20 year old tech continues to impress me!!
