Hi, a friend of mine is asking for a ps3 emulator, I know they exist but I tend to stay on the ps1 and below territory for emulation, anyone knows a good ps3 emulator?

RPCS3 (https://rpcs3.net) is the one I typically see people using. You do need some decent compute power though from what I'm aware.

Do note that you need a fairly powerful PC, and only about 74% of games (2691/3652 reported titles) are playable right now.
