A software company that exists through the dotcom bubble starting in 1993, but it exists in the present tech landscape and time as a sort of acted performance. It’s ran as a television show for the viewers, and funded by viewers and maybe some venture capitalists; however, behind the scenes there is a large effort to run the ‘fictional’ company as a real software company semi behind the scenes.

Everything must be period correct to the calendar year and release date of certain pieces of software and hardware and network service, down to the dress worn by employees/actors and interactions that happen surrounding goings on at the company. Modern cars, buildings, and other things surrounding the pocket reality are OK to be shown, however no one that is ‘in character’ will acknowledge these items or behaviors.

Sufficient training for a new hire to become ‘in character’ must be done, or else they may behave in ways that don’t make sense for being chronologically displaced. Effectively they should be trained in using older computer hardware and software and should generally be comfortable with corporate culture of the time as to make everything make sense. Generally things should be period accurate where possible, with exceptions being made ahead of them being necessary.

This project would largely be a social experiment, seeing just how far you can push morbid curiosity at watching and propelling the most clearly chronologically deranged. If a success, roughly a company of people would get to experience working conditions of the 90s for tech jobs. This would also be a long term project, that would take a lot of planning and resource acquisition.

I don't know if this should go in writing or not but I just wrote this out as sort of a guide doc and I wanted to share the idea. No AI should touch the creation of this project, so please don't suggest it. I don't want to make something using AI.

Running AD, getting LAN thru VPN's (to connect remote users), its pretty silly when you trying to setup it, but then you just sit with it and have no idea what to do with it.
