In the signup page and client page, msn says that the only type of email supported (by design) is @hotmail.com
Now, I don't know if you CAN add people without @hotmail.com on CrossTalk MSN but it doesn't seem to work
however, look at the members list. MANY people are using anything but the hotmail suffix.
also, it might work for other people but I don't many people are using yahoo messenger or aim anyways since it's barely supported.
Does anyone know why this is happening? |

The:

is only for the first version (MSN 1.0)
MSN 2 and above can use any email provider _________________ Reverse engineering nerd, occasionally other things

This limitation will also be worked around with the coming server update. You would just enter your username (like you would on Yahoo! Messenger) and disregard the "@hotmail.com" part, so that anybody can log in regardless of what e-maiil address they're using. _________________ Known to cause cancer in the state of California. |
