I was just down in Florida for two weeks on vacation, going to Walt Disney World and Universal's new Epic Universe, and some other things.
Epic Universe looks like it will be an awesome park eventually. Right now, it's still too new and suffering from ride downtime and other issues (someone recently died on the Stardust Racers coaster). They did a great job with the theming however, and Monsters Unchained stands out as a really great dark ride. I could go into more detail about that, but that's a topic for another day and page (probably my blog).
I have been to WDW more times than I can even remember at this point (I'm thinking 14 times in the last 10 years, plus 5 times when I was a kid in the early-mid 2000s). EPCOT Center is my favorite park, and the EPCOT of the early 2000s had a very large impact on me growing up. It's a huge part of what got me into technology in the first place. It was even more fascinating to learn about the early history of the park and how futuristic it was at the time.
I've been looking to expand my theme park horizons a bit (heh, get it? It's an EPCOT joke) and see what else is out there. So if you're into theme parks, which are your favorites? _________________ If you like browsing without an ad blocker, you might also like getting rid of your virus scanner, and running around with your pants down. --SomeGuy, 2016 |

I would always go to Cedar Point every couple years as a kid.
My favorite ride was Disaster Transport, a bobsled style coaster. It wasn't a fast coaster, only 40mph, but I loved it because of it's sci-fi theme. Then they tore it down in 2012 because they couldn't maintain it since it was too old and beyond repair. _________________ I do stuff with things for reasons.
Fuck it, test in prod. |

| Disney World will always be my favorite. I've been to Universal (back in 2017) but I don't know if it could top Disney for me. |

That's sad. I wish I could have seen that. It sounds awesome.

If you've never been to Disneyland in California, I highly recommend going sometime. I went there last year and I'm going again later this year. Some of the rides and attractions there are improvements over the Disney World versions, like Pirates of the Carribbean and The Enchanted Tiki Room. They also have Mr. Toad's Wild Ride and the Matterhorn, which are classics. Also the churros!! So good. _________________ If you like browsing without an ad blocker, you might also like getting rid of your virus scanner, and running around with your pants down. --SomeGuy, 2016 |

| I actually have been to Disneyland! I went in 2023 and also last October. I did like some attractions there more than their WDW counterpoint (its a small world is far better there). |
