Somehow, I have ended up in another place on the internet.

I am Ben0258, a refugee from the CrossTalk Discord server that might already be shut down if you're reading this 2 days after this post was made.
Hopefully this will be a chance to get away from Discord and not have it eat 30 billion CPU cycles whenever I do anything anymore.

I haven't really used forums before, but I'll try to figure this out. I might be more active on IRC either way.

In any case, I'm happy to be here.

Oh wow, the crosstalk discord is shutting down? I didn't know that. I guess this is a pretty good place for refugees, huh?

Shame, since I never got to try it, I guess.

Yes, but the service itself remains. An IRC channel is used now, on this very site no less

I was on the Crosstalk Discord for a little bit up until the announcement they were closing that side of things down.

I fully understand their decision really, as it's a lot to manage while actively developing the whole Crosstalk thing too. It's a great service.

Places like this are quite different, forums are of a slower-pace (not necessarily a bad thing) and everything is a bit more permanent unless posts or threads are deleted.
