Discord no longer (officially) supports Windows 7 due to them switching to a newer version of Electron earlier this year, however, it's still possible to run it if you use VxKex. The setup process is very simple; here's how to do it:
- Download the installer from the website as normal, and run it with VxKex enabled (there should be a context menu option)
- It'll error out, but Discord's files will still be installed to your appdata folders. Go to AppData\Local\Discord (or DiscordCanary if you use that), then to app-x.x.xxxx
- Find Discord.exe and enable VxKex on it, your VxKex tab should look like this. You can also use the context menu option here, but I personally prefer doing it this way so auto-starting on login works
- Run it, and with any luck Discord work, as it would on Windows 10/11!

This would be handy if I ever want to have the desktop app of this again... as someone who still uses 7. To be fair though, the web version's alright
