Heya! Not sure if this fits here, I just put it here since it involves cellular, One of the things I've wanted to try for a while is getting IRC working over 2G, as it does work fine over Dial Up, though all my attempts have failed, with it either taking too long to load over T-Mobile's EDGE network or falling to LTE again. Anyone who has still existing 2G service who can test it, can you report back how well it works? much appreciated. _________________ I'm one day closer to being who I wanna be~ |

I remember when Amazon Kindle had their Whispernet, though that was 3G. I have my old paper white kindle that I use to open a browser to a web IRC client and I could chat on IRC during long road trips free of charge Very Happy _________________ I do stuff with things for reasons.

Update: after a while of testing, and forcing my phone onto EDGE, I finally have it working. It DOES work but EDGE is quite unstable, and you need to not use anything like VPNs.
