I use IRC quite often, when I'm not on AIM through nina.chat. If you use IRC, where are you hanging out these days?
Also, did you know that ClassicConnect has its own IRC network? It's at irc.classicconnect.net, port 6677. No SSL currently, but coming soon.
I usually hang out in a few channels there, as well as irc.r-type.ca, in #winboards.
