I remember this question going around on tumblr a few years ago (with very conflicting opinions), so for my first non-intro thread- what are your thoughts on sugar cookies?

Personally, I really like them.

Depends how they're made really, if it's hard/crunchy, I wouldnt like them, if it's a soft cookie, I'll probably be just fine with it.

I agree with Lyra, I hate crunchy cookies of just about any kind. Texture is very important to me. I do very much like the flavor of sugar cookies but it's hard for me to find well made ones. I usually just buy the sugar cookie dough from the grocery store and eat it raw. I'm salmonella's worst nightmare.

I love sugar cookies. They have to be on the softer side though, not hard and crunchy. I prefer most cookies that way honestly.

It's a good default basic cookie framework and Christmas staple. Christmas is the only time of year I eat them too lol.
