Was looking for some stuff in the house shed, mainly halloween stuff, and found a box with old electronics, decided to dive into it, mainly cables, some dead earphones and 2 cameras!
One an old analog camera but it had baterry corrosion so it didn't work, and this 2008 digital camera, I had some saved batteries and it worked!!...kinda
sometimes the shutter cover gets stuck and it ddrains the batteries insanely fast, but it works! it has filters, SD card slot (and I have an adaptor) and it worked!
A pair of pictures I took with it: _________________ How long until work is done?

I was a kid when the camera got to my house in...I think it was christmas?...maybe 2005?
I do remember when my elder sister said "you can record videos!" my parents found it unbelievable and I went "So I can record the TV and the cartoons?!" and I got weird looks lmao _________________ How long until work is done?

Dang. The newest camera in my collection that I would call "vintage" is my Sony Cybershot DSC-P52 from 2003.
Doesn't help that the newest digital camera flat out is my Canon EOS 50D... From 2008. |

Older digital cameras are wonderful beasts. I admittedly have a gap in my own collection of digital cameras between My Mavica (2001) and my Olympus mirrorless (2010). I'd love to get a variety of cameras from the late 90s through the early 2010s, as that was when you saw a lot of rapid development of digital camera technology.
I don't see your photo samples, did you embed them properly? _________________ Your System ate a SPARC! Gah!

That's a pretty cool looking camera. I'm glad it still at least somewhat works. I also recently got a digital camera from 2009. A Fujifilm z33 WP.
Works pretty well and is water proof (although I haven't tested that yet).

I meant to expand on my earlier point. In early 2008, for my birthday my grandparents bought me a Canon Powershot A560 digital camera. It's still going strong to this day as well, although quite abused looking. It's by the wayside as I primarily use Mavicas, or my Minolta Dimage F300.
I used to run my late father's Dimage F100 but the lens mechanism has utterly obliterated itself. _________________ That sounds irresponsibly silly and is therefore, clearly, something I am likely to almost always do. |
